The Voice of Turkish Cypriots in Britain — Est. 1983

Over 40 Years of Community Leadership

Founded on 8th March 1983, CTCA UK has served the Turkish Cypriot community in Britain for over four decades.

Our Foundation

The Council of Turkish Cypriot Associations UK (CTCA UK) was formally established on 8th March 1983 in London. The organisation was founded by community leaders and associations who came together to give a unified voice to the rapidly growing Turkish Cypriot community in Britain.

Following the events of 1974 in Cyprus, the number of Turkish Cypriots settling in Britain increased significantly, establishing vibrant communities in London, Birmingham and other major cities. There was a clear need for a strong umbrella organisation to advocate for their rights, preserve their cultural identity and support one another.
